History.
Built in 1873 by Robert Chirnside, nephew of Thomas Chirnside, Mt Rothwell Homestead was the northern most home on a property of 90,000 acres including Werribee Mansion and Point Cook Homestead. It remained in the Chirnside family as Mt Rothwell station until year 2000 when Scott Chirnside sold the property to Earth Sanctuaries.
